My name is Slava and I’m a teacher of Latin, Ballroom, and American Smooth dancing styles. I have been related to the dancing world since I was 6, and during my dancing journey of 33 years till year 2023 (the year when we establish Ballatin Dance Studio) I had a great opportunity to learn from the best teachers all over the world. After retirement as a professional dancer, I’m still learning and sharing my knowledge, taking dancing as the science to help students to reach their potential in full, involving bodies, minds, and souls in process. Everyone is unique, that’s why it’s a lot of ways to express dancing in different ways, shapes etc.

Besides my passion to teach, here are some of my achievements during my dancing career.

As a Professional Dancer:

–           3rd in World Professional Latin Showcase Championship

–           3rd in Professional Open European Latin Championship

–           Vice-Champion of Poland in Professionals 10 dances (Ballroom and Latin),

–           A soloist of Ukrainian Professional Ballroom and Latin Dance Theatre

As a Teacher:

–           Certified teacher of Ballroom, Latin, American Smooth and Rhythm by USA, UK, and Ukraine dance organizations.

–           World recognized Associate degree of Ballroom and Latin Dances

–           Winner and Finalist of major Pro-Am Championships in Europe, UK, USA, Mid Asia, Asia

–           Over 20 years of teaching experience

–           Licensed adjudicator since 2012

Chinese Dance

Eva

Hello, I’m Eva — a Chinese dance performer and teacher. 

I started dancing at the age of three and have received 18 years of professional training in Chinese dance. I hold a Level 13 certification from the China Dancers Association Grading Examination. I specialize in team choreography and cultural performance planning, with five years of full‑process coaching experience leading university dance troupes.

My Dance Journey

l  Formal Training System - Completed the systematic curriculum of the China Dancers Association

l  National University Dance Competition - Second Prize (2018, as Team Leader & Lead Choreographer)**

l  Led a 30‑member cross‑grade team to create the original folk dance piece *Miss Xiguan*

l  Oversaw costume embroidery customization and lighting/stage design; the team was awarded “Most Culturally Inherited Team” in the finals

l  Lead Dancer & Core Creator of University Cultural Performances

l  Starred in 8 original works, including *Lotus Emerging from Water* and *Lotus in Full Bloom*, with a single performance reaching up to 5,000 audience members

l  Five Years of Dance Teaching Experience - Over the past five years, I have been fully responsible for choreography and instruction for university dance teams 

My Belief in Dance

I believe in the power of compound interest in time — every turn we make and every drop of sweat we shed will never be wasted. Dance requires endless repetition and practice. It’s the magic of 1% improvement every day that pays off in 100% surprising returns.

Haley

Hello, I'm Haley Lam, a Hip-hop/K-pop/Jazz dance teacher.

I have been a dedicated dancer since the age of 3, with 13 years of ballet foundation and 4 years of training in Hip Hop and Jazz Funk. 

As an active performer in the dance scene, I have built extensive experience in choreography and performance over the years. Numerous stage appearances (annual showcases, international competitions, etc.) and overseas training programs have laid a solid foundation for my teaching abilities. 

Over the past years, I have gained diverse teaching experience and developed a strong understanding of how to connect with children and students, effectively creating a fun, engaging, and supportive learning environment.

I am passionate about dance and truly look forward to inspiring more people to fall in love with it.

K-pop

Kia

Hello, my name is Jingxuan Xu, you can call me Kia.

I have been in contact with dance since I was 4 years old, I have tried ballet, Latin and so on, until I finally became a street dancer, I specialize in jazz and urban, I was the second runner-up of the National Dance Championships of the China University Street Dance Championships in 2019, and the third runner-up of the Dance Vision Dance Championships in 2021.

All these experiences have made me who I am now. Many people’s first impression of me is that I’m very introverted and shy, but whenever the music starts and I get into a dancing state, I’m really “a different person”, and I’m very thankful for the changes that dance has brought to me, and I’m also thankful for all the people I’ve met because of dance.

I always emphasize in class that we should look at ourselves, and then you will gradually find that the energy brought by dance can actually exist in every scene of your life, and then you will become more and more self-confident and brave, which is the process of letting yourself spiral upward and slowly become better.
